Bible verses about God and His love show clearly that God loves and accepts us unconditionally!

Faith works through love. That is why it is so vitally important to know that you are loved and accepted by God and that he wants to answer your prayers.

When people fall in love it is difficult to think of anything but the object of their love. Prayer involves this type of love for God. Hope Macdonald explains, “I like to think of prayer as a conversation between two friends who love and understand each other. ”Prayer requires trust. You cannot produce trust. Trust comes out of a relationship in which you know you are loved.

If we had a full revelation of God’s love for us, it would put our fears to rest and draw us into a greater desire to trust him.

Let’s look at some Bible verses about God and love.

Jesus said, “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me” (John 17:3).

Song of Solomon, “Many waters cannot quench the flame of love, neither can the floods drown it” (1 John 3:1 TLB).

Our aim in these sessions is to help you find real freedom through a child-like faith. You can completely trust in God’s love and acceptance and have the assurance that he wants to answer your prayers.

God’s love is giving

“God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

“God loved you so much that he gave his only Son so that if you believe in him you shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 personalized)

God’s love is sacrificial

“God showed how much he loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful.”(Romans 5:8)

God’s love is unconditional

God’s unconditional love is illustrated in His relationship with the nation Israel. “You were the weakest of all nations, but the LORD chose you because he loves you and because he had made a promise to your ancestors.”  (Deuteronomy 7:7-8a)

“See how much your heavenly Father loves you, for he allows you to be called his child – think of it – and you really are.” (1 John 3:1 personalized)

God’s love has no limits

“God’s mercy is so abundant, and his love for us is so great.” (Ephesians 2:4)

“I want you to know all about Christ’s love, although it is too wonderful to be measured.” (Ephesians 3:19)

God’s love is life changing

“We love,” said the Apostle John, “because God loved us first.” (1 John 4:19)

“God is love.” (John 16:27)
