Prayer for the salvation of others. Learn how to effectively pray for someone to be saved. A powerful, effective salvation prayer for others.
The prayer is based on verses from the Bible, and when you pray according to the Bible, you know you are praying according to God’s will. Add the names of your unsaved friends and loved ones.
Praying a scriptural prayer for the salvation of others
Father, according to your Word in Psalm 34:17, your eyes are upon the righteous and your ears are open to their prayers. I know, by your grace, that you have made me righteous with the very righteousness of Jesus. Therefore, I have absolute confidence that you will hear me and answer my prayers.
Your Word also tells me in Ephesians 2:6, that I am seated in Christ Jesus, far above all the powers of darkness. And according to Luke 10:19 I have been given absolute authority over all the power of the enemy.
I take my delegated authority and forbid all spirits of darkness (antichrist, rebellion, deception, pride) from keeping ___(name individuals) ________ from seeing and embracing your truth.
In Jesus’ name
I pull down every proud argument against you. Every belief system or reasoning that keeps _________________ from walking in your freedom. (Unbelief gained from a belief system of: rejection, fear, humanism, intellectualism, religion or philosophies.)
Thank you for changing _______________ thinking, as I take captive every thought and bring them into submission to your purposes.
I worship and praise you, Lord Jesus, for sending someone across their path to demonstrate your love and power. Flooding your light upon their hearts and minds, enabling them to receive the truth of your Word.
Thank you, Father, for drawing them to yourself, as I call it done, according to Romans 4:17.
Scripture used: Psalm 34:17, Ephesians 2:5-6, 1:21, Luke 10:19, 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, Revelation 5:9, John 14:14, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, Ephesians 5:1, Romans 4;17.
Be assured, God has heard your prayer! Watch this video and be encouraged!
This is what it says in 2 Corinthians 4:4: “The devil who rules this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe. They cannot see the light of the Good News.”
Through wrong belief systems, Satan keeps people from believing in God’s love and mercy.
The Bible tells us that God has supplied every child of God divinely powerful weapons to break down strongholds. In 2 Corinthians 10 verse 5 we read, “These weapons can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding him.”
According to this Bible verse, we use God’s mighty weapons to break down wrong mindsets and release our friends and loved ones from Satan’s deceptions.
Let’s look briefly now at what these weapons are and what makes them so powerful.
Firstly, praise is a mighty weapon.
Praise is a vehicle of faith which brings us into the presence and power of God! Praise opens the doorway to blessing, because praise provides a channel for God to release his power into our circumstances!
Our faith is activated and energised as we praise God for who he is, what he has done and what he will do.
Abraham’s record of this happening is found in Romans 4:20. “No unbelief or distrust made him waver or doubtingly question concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God.”
Secondly, using Jesus’ name is a mighty weapon.
Jesus’ name is above everything that has a name – including anything that is holding your friends and loved ones back from knowing God!
The Bible says in Philippians 2:9, “God made his name greater than every other name, so that every knee must bow to the name of Jesus.”
To pray in Jesus’ name, means to have the right to use his name when transacting all his spiritual business. It’s as if Jesus has given each one of his children, his credit card to transact spiritual business on his behalf.
Jesus said in John 14:14, “If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it.”
As faith is the currency of heaven, only faith in Jesus’ name can make withdrawals! Let me say that again, as faith is the currency of heaven, only faith in Jesus’ name can make withdrawals!
Thirdly, the Blood of Jesus is a mighty weapon.
The Blood of Jesus liberates us from Satan’s power and control.
In Colossians chapter 1 verses 13 & 14 we read, “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins.”
When Jesus died on the cross, His Blood was used as a sacrificial offering to God, paying for yours and your families deliverance. In other words, you and your unsaved loved ones and friends have been redeemed or bought back from Satan’s control by the Blood of Jesus.
Fourthly, God’s Word is a mighty weapon
The Bible says in Hebrews 4:12, “Whatever God says to you is full of living power”. According to Revelation 12:11, we overcome Satan by proclaiming the truth of God’s Word. It says, “They won the victory over him (being Satan) by the blood of the Lamb ( which is Jesus) and by the truth which they proclaimed.”
Every time you declare the truth of God’s Word in prayer, something happens!
Job 22 verses 27-28 says, “You will make your prayer to Him, and He will hear you… You shall also decide and decree a thing and it shall be established for you.”
The Bible says that God does not want anyone to be lost.
God wants all people to change their hearts and lives. Therefore, there’s power in declaring or decreeing in prayer that your workmate, school mate, partner, child, parent or neighbor will have a change of heart and life, because the Bible says that’s what God wants.
God’s Word also says when you speak to the things that seem like mountains in the lives of your neighbors, workmates, friends and families, they will be removed. This includes such things as pride, unbelief, humanism, intellectualism, fear, religion and reasoning.
Jesus said in Mark 11:23, “If you have faith in God and don’t doubt, you can tell this mountain to get up and jump into the sea, and it will.”
A prayer that will help you use God’s weapons when praying for your unsaved friends and family.
It’s based on verses from the Bible, and when you pray according to the Bible, you know you are praying according to God’s will. Add the names of your unsaved friends and loved ones.
Lord Jesus, I take these weapons now and declare that your Word says, ____(names)____ have been purchased through Your Blood.
Therefore, in Your Name Jesus, I pull down every proud argument against you, and every belief system or reasoning that keeps ____ (names) ____ from finding you.
I declare the mountains of pride, rebellion, unbelief and fear be removed.
I take authority over every deceiving spirit that holds them captive, and bring every thought into line with your will.
I see, by faith, ___ (names) ___ eyes being open and their lives transformed by your presence and power. In your wonderful Name Jesus! Amen.
Be assured, God has heard your salvation prayer!
But you may be wondering, “How long do I pray like this?” Keep praying until the answer comes!
Keep pulling down the strongholds and thanking God for their salvation.
The Apostle Paul encourages us in Ephesians 6:18 to “pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up.”
Lack of persistence in prayer is one of the biggest reasons we fail to see answers to prayer.
James 5:16 in the Amplified version assures us that “the earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available – dynamic in its working.”
You don’t have to be some kind of spiritual giant, or have some special calling to persist in prayer.
God answered Elijah’s persistence in prayer for rain, and the Bible says he was just like us. He had all the same impulses, drives, emotions, feelings, and even became discouraged and depressed at times, but he believed in God’s faithfulness and power.
Persistence is holding on to a goal or promise, regardless of the circumstances.
Winning the victory, overcoming and being faithful requires a consistent relationship with God through prayer.
Persistence in prayer is the vehicle God uses to help us learn to rule in the spirit realm in this life, and thereby prepare us to rule with Jesus in eternity.
When the Holy Spirit helps us to pray without doubt, in line with what pleases God and with our God-given authority, we can have faith in God’s Word that he will answer our prayer, if we don’t quit.
As long as we persist, we are guaranteed an answer, because God has promised in John 16:24 that “it will be given to you, so that you will be completely happy.”
PERSIST AND PRAY THE PRAYER OF SALVATION FOR OTHERS DAILY.
