How to walk in the blessings of God
I know Christians who always seem to be struggling with one thing going wrong after another. Can you relate to that? Stop expecting bad things to happen to you. In this video you will be shown how you can walk in God’s blessings instead.
1. Believe that God is good
There are an amazing the number of Christians who fail to receive all that God has for them because they have a wrong concept of God.
I heard someone say this week, “Until you see God as a good God you will not trust Him”. That is so true!
It’s God’s nature to be good. To be able to trust God’s goodness, you need to see life from the right perspective. God’s goodness cannot be understood apart from knowing him.
Many believe that a good life means the absence of pain, difficulty, trouble, sorrow, ill-health or poverty. They fail to see that we live in a spoiled world and none of us is immune from the challenges of life. However, God is not the author of anything except good.
It is recorded in the Bible that King David knew his God. He proclaimed, “You are good and kind and do good” (Psalm 119:68).
2. Live under the grace and favour of God
A number of Christians also work to please God to obtain His acceptance and love. They believe in the motto: ‘do good’ = ‘get good’, ‘do bad’ = ‘get bad’. They fail to live under the grace and favour of God.
Ephesians 2:8 tells us: “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it” (NLT).
Salvation is not only to be received by faith but also God’s blessings. To receive God’s blessings by faith we have to have a revelation that we are loved and accepted unconditionally by God.
3. Release the power of the Spirit in you
Jesus has all we need: love, peace, joy, faith, hope, freedom and healing. The problem is we fail to firstly, recognize the power that is within and secondly, fail to release that power in in prayer order for us to enjoy His blessings.
Jesus is all you need and He lives within you – that is God’s promise to you!
“His (God’s) divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness 2 Peter 1:3.
You have Jesus living within you! “This is the secret: Christ lives in you” (Colossians 1:27 NLT).
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. (1 John 4:4).
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you (Romans 8:11).
The promises of God become yours when you take hold of them and make them your own. Meditate on them until they become part of you – allowing them to get from your head to your heart! Then in prayer release the power of God within and the promise in prayer that God has given you regarding your situation. It is so powerful!
You may never know that JESUS is all you need, until JESUS is all you have.” ― Corrie Ten Boom
